Fuzzyface Worldwide
The Muppets meet Texas Chainsaw Massacre? with the most lovable homicidal protagonist of all time in "the world's greatest sidekick" Agnew Pennyworth, in his starring role as, Fuzzyface. Equal parts of Jim Henson's family favorite Muppets and Tobe Hooper's Texas Chainsaw Massacre mixed in with a dose of Mary Shelly and bookended with the Youth in Asia characters Nash, Kyle and Grrry, Fuzzyface mixes twisted humor with strict monster movie guidelines and a huge dosage of crass behavior. Written by Venus of Necro and illustrated by John Chihak, Fuzzyface boasts a series of pinups by up and coming artists and a foreward by Henry Barajas, writer of El Loco and Girl Scouts in Space.
As of this afternoon, Fuzzyface: The Agnew Chainsaw Massacre 3 is now available on the internet for download on you "E" devices from Indie Aisle. Thanks to Ovi Demetrian Jr. a guy I met at Amazing Arizona Comic Con a few weeks ago. He approached me in Artist's Alley at the con and asked me if I was interested in turning some of my comic books into digital comics. I had wanted to do this for a while, as this was the easiest way to make Anti-Hero Brand Comics available to as many people as possible.
This is a massive step forward for AHB, and the potential it brings is great. Fuzzyface is the breakout book for us, and I believe is easily the most iconic of all our titles, with the series of coloring books called "got crayons?" very close in second place. For those of you out there still without a copy of this great book, all you need is $3 and you can download it in its entirety. Or get a monthly unlimited subscription to Indie Aisle and read Fuzzyface as well as many other awesome titles, like Dennmann's "Get That Chicken," and a ton of "Monster Commute" comics from Steam Crow. This is a super inexpensive way to get to check out a lot of worthy indie writers and creators. And it's not just limited to comics. There's novels and short stories available too.

Ladies and Gentlemen.... Flux!
A while ago, Agent Burgos of the Arizona Avengers sent me a tweet asking me to retweet it. Since Burgos is also the guy who interviewed me for The Weekly Dose on www.comicbooktherapy.com a bit back, I thought nothing of it and retweeded the post. A bit later I went back and clicked the link and read the story. It was about Tracie's Tooth Fairy, a non profit organization that raises awareness and much needed funds for people who require dental work as a result of going through chemotherapy and radiation for cancer treatment. As I too had cancer, I became intrigued in the story. From the best of my knowledge I didn't have any negative effects from my chemo and radiation. The catch is, insurance won't pay for the dental work because the damage to an individual's teeth is a result of a medical procedure.
I read the story and then reread parts. Looked at the photos and saw the beautiful smile Tracie had. I linked to the facebook page for Tracies Tooth Fairy and looked at the photo albums. Then I decided to do something about it. I left a post on her page that said I wanted to make her a character in my comic book, Youth in Asia. I had already begun writing a story involving the character, originally the new heroine was going to be played by Kyle, Nash's girlfriend.
Last Wednesday night, or Thursday morning as it were, the young lady in the article contacted me on facebook. She said that Dan Burgos had got in touch with her about me making her into my new character. She was excited, and asked if I had concept artwork. I immediately began drawing costume pieces for her to pick from. The next morning I emailed the pics to her and she replied with her choice. We have continued to discuss the story ideas and costume color schemes.
The other night I drew up a larger version of the character in order to have a better grasp of the colors to be used. I texted the picture to her and she loved it.
And last night, I wrote a six page origin story for her character in Youth in Asia. I emailed the script to her and am awaiting a reply with her thoughts. I will commence with the page work tonight. It's going to be a great start to a character that will bring a lot of new adventures the Youth in Asia universe.
All because I retweeted.

So coming up on the 28 this month, I will be appearing at Atomic Comics Superstore in Mesa, Arizona as a part of their monthly Bizarre Bazaar event for local comic book creators. They will be holding it in conjunction with their Fright Night event which goes from Friday the 27th through to Saturday the 28th.
I will be bringing up copies of the much vaunted and talked about graphic novel, Fuzzyface: The Agnew Chainsaw Massacre 3, as well as Youth in Asia issues 1-5 and the trade which collects the first three issues. I will be signing and doing commissions for those who attend.

Book of Grrry progress
Now that I am back to work, I feel a bit of a catharsis. The Book of Grrry gives me a chance to really let loose as a creator. Stories involving the bombshell of the Youth in Asia universe seem to take on a life all their own. As with the two stories I am working on for this next BoG installment, Grrry is back to her usual bag of tricks, as the case may be. I have also come to terms with the fact that Grrry gets what Grrry wants and it's really best not to fuck with her, as you have seen in the pages of YiA and the first two issues of BoG. What happens in the next couple of stories should come as no surprise to anyone familiar with the buxom wonder. And if you're not in the know, I suggest you get in the know. Grrry has become one of the two favorite characters from Anti-Hero Brand Press along with Agnew Pennyworth, sidekick to Nash in Youth in Asia, star of his own coloring book series, "got crayons?" and the mega breakout star of "Fuzzyface: The Agnew Chainsaw Massacre." Both characters are favorites of Fuzzyface writer, Venus of Necro, who in an interview with Richard Caldwell describes Grrry as "fearless." And she is. The voice and personality I decided to give Grrry was that of the unsilent majority. The person who says what she feels without the nasty repercussions that come from speaking your mind in today's society. Grrry is a staunch defender of the under dog, and is at times violently loyal to her friends. An avid supporter of free speech, as well as the "We can do it," philosophy of the iconic Rosie the Riveter poster that helped spawn the ideas behind the Rockabilly movement.
Grrry is not one to hold her opinions inward. In all reality, Grrry is going to let you know exactly how she feels about what's going on in the world. In a day and age where so many people hold back for fear of being non P.C. or for getting on the government's shit list, Grrry is most definitely "of the people" type of character. And in her own words, "people should learn an unrelenting fear of me."

Fuzzyface at Phoenix Comic Con
Fuzzyface is at the printers and it's just a matter of time until you're holding it in your grubby little hands. Above is the flyer that will be distributed at Phoenix Con this year. I have taken the guessing game out of your hands and put the cover art, the Anti-Hero Brand Press logo and the booth number on there. A very gracious friend will be at con most of the days, and she has willingly accepted, or actually asked to distribute flyers to promote Fuzzyface. In face the fliers were her idea. It seems that ladies always seem to have some pretty spectacular ideas when it comes to motivation and promotion. Hopefully my writer will pimp the shit out of Fuzzyface on the website she works for. I already have a guy who's open for interviewing me and Venus of Necro and doing a review of Fuzzyface.
I have gotten back a few sample copies of the book back from the printer. And the book looks amazing. The artwork came out incredible (if only to pat myself on the back), but others say it's the best work of my career. It is also some of the funniest and yet crudest stuff that's fallen out of Venus' mind into a comic book. She did a stellar job writing this book. Maybe, if we're all lucky, she'll want to do a follow up. But let's not count our chickens before they become chicken wings, and let's set this Phoenix Comic Con off like a revolution. The most anticipated book from Anti-Hero Brand Press drops in a few days.

Fuzzyface launch date May 27 FAST APPROACHING!
in just 16 days on May 27 the preview night of Phoenix Cactus Comic Con, Fuzzyface will debut. The sample copy is floating around in John's backpack where I am keeping guard of it. The best way to guarantee you get your grubby little mitts on it is if you preorder the book NOW!.... It is going to be a limited edition, very low print run for the first printing. Bedhead Vol. 2 to also hit Memorial Day Weekend
I decided I think I have enough sketches and assortments of new drawings to fill probably another few volumes of this sketchbook. The first on hit at Phoenix ComiCon in 2008. And I decided its time for another one. In conjunction with the prints and Fuzzyface, we're gonna have quite a bit of new stuff for sale. Plus other new stuff from last year's Cactus Con include, Got Crayons? vol. 2 "iCon," Youth in Asia #5 which has the first appearance of The Step Monsters, plus Em talks for the first time (in print anyways).
Things are looking good, although I have been in a creative rut these past few weeks. No real new drawings other than finishing up Fuzzyface. But I guess after a project of this size, it's probably normal. Especially considering that I don't have a usual writer I work with other than myself, and I try not to write ahead of myself otherwise I might get bored with the storyline, considering how slowly I usually work.
Look for a bunch of new Kyle and Grrry drawings in Bedhead vol. 2.

Fuzzyface production notes pt. 13
On towards the final pages of Fuzzyface, I am still cranking out art. This project hasn't broken me quite yet. Tonight I finished page 46 and moved onto half of 47. The little extras thrown into the background of page 46 should make some people very happy. Or at least make then laugh a little. One was on request from a few people as to something I had to add to the book.
So there is less that 8 pages of interior artwork left in Fuzzyface. This whole process has been both successful and trying. I can't take too long of breaks from it or I know I won't finish it. And I really want to see this project through to the end. But some turmoil has arisen from it as well. It's not always easy creating a comic book, and sometimes circumstances will come up that cannot be avoided. However, I do have to say that, I am truly satisfied with the output and the support this as yet finished book has seen. We have people all the way up in Idaho chomping at the bit for this comic. Something that was revealed to them almost a year ago. So, I definitely HAVE to finish strong. If not for those reading these comics, I would just have a seriously time consuming hobby that no one else appreciated. With that I am very thankful for the fan outcry and support for this project.
There is always the possibility of a sequel, I mean it is a horror story. But I'll cross that insane bridge when I come to it. Right now I am working on polishing the pencil work for the final pages. And with the near completion of this project, I am gearing up to solicit presales for the book to help raise funds for the printing, and promotion. So if you're wanting a copy, presale prices will be slightly cheaper than retail AND you can guarantee you get a copy. Cause it is set to debut at Phoenix Con in May, and I can't guarantee how many will be in the first print run, or if any of those copies will make it back.

2009 in review and 2010 for Anti-Hero Brand Press and the Hardcore Comic Book Icon
2009 had it's moments for the Hardcore Comic Book Icon and Anti-Hero Brand Press. First was hitting up Phoenix ComiCon in January. People seemed to get a kick out of Got Crayons? I got to be booth neighbors with Phour Nyne Guy, Erik Arreaga. He told me during the convention that he really liked Agnew and wanted to know about his origin and what he was all about. This led to Erik doing an amazing piece of artwork for me to use with AHB promotion. It's a super wicked sadistic looking Agnew that got to be on the back cover of issue 5 of Youth in Asia.
Issue five saw print in late July, and debuted at Animeland Tu-Con. It had a variant cover which paid tribute to Gene Colan's cover to Howard the Duck #5,featuring a roided up Domo Kun versus a very different looking Agnew Pennyworth. The book also saw the first appearance of the Step Monsters, the hot all girl punk band from Apex City.
In October, the Hardcore Comic Book Icon traveled to the Bay with his trusty sidekick, Agnew at his side, for APE Con. There, I took pics with Jeff Smith, Jimmie Robinson and made a lot of new friends and some new fans. I also got a huge boost when on my way to the airport to come home we stopped at Isotope The Comic Book Lounge and slung copies of Youth in Asia to owner James Sime. Who throws one hell of an After the mayhem APE Con party. The Icon vowed to come back for 2010, and just to visit this awesome city again. I also got to see Alcatraz during it's 75th Anniversary. Which was very cool. I had no idea the historical significance besides being home to Al Capone and never successfully having been escaped.
Upon returning home to Tucson, one week later in fact. The day after the third annual Wonder Woman Day, I learned that a friend of mine, and former girlfriend, Lisa Berrie had been murdered back in August of 2008. I had wanted to help expand Wonder Woman Day to Tucson, but after hearing this I knew I had to do it.
In November, Anti-Hero Brand hit up the second annual Tucson Comic Con. We had a lot of people stop by and check out our stuff. I shared space with the talented Mike Moran and Venus of Necro split time between our booth and another. As you know Venus is the writer behind G2 The Book of Grrry and the forthcoming Fuzzyface.
The end of the year (ie the last several months) have been dedicated to the graphic novel Fuzzyface. I have, up to the end of 2009, finished almost 39 total pages of the proposed 54 interior pages, the cover and 1 pinup which is gonna be inked by Paul Fini, creator of Bliss and Plant Guy.
Goals for 2010 involve exhibiting at the biggest show there is, San Diego Comic Con International, splitting a booth with Phour Nyne Guy. Debuting Fuzzyface a month or two before at AHB's third straight Phoenix Comic Con. Getting the ball rolling on the origin story called Ten Years in Hell. Punching out Got Crayons? vol. 3. Youth in Asia issue 6 and the third installment of The Book of Grrry, and collect the series. The Hardcore Comic Book Icon plans to make waves in the industry this year, by promoting the hell out of Fuzzyface. I would very much like to make some more connections within the industry so I can begin my trek to working full time in comics and art.
I would also like to get storyboarding and preproduction done for the Youth in Asia live action movie teaser/trailer.

Youth in Asia issue 6 and the third installment of The Book of Grrry, and collect the series. The Hardcore Comic Book Icon plans to make waves in the industry this year, by promoting the hell out of Fuzzyface. I would very much like to make some more connections within the industry so I can begin my trek to working full time in comics and art.
I would also like to get storyboarding and preproduction done for the Youth in Asia live action movie teaser/trailer.

Fuzzyface production notes pt. 12
Upon the completion of page 38 I bring you the 12th installment of the production notes for the graphic novel, Fuzzyface. Things have been crazy hectic and I feel like I am moving at an incredible pace. One I know I have never worked at before. And I feel most accomplished in what I have achieved. 38 pages, 1 pinup and 1 cover, DONE! 4 pinups by other artists, turned in. 16 pages and god knows how many pinups remain.
I sat in Crave today for roughly 6 hours, drawing and fucking around online. During that six hours or whatever it actually was, I finished the missing 1/3 of page 37. Crave closed at 7. I immediately drove up the road to Safehouse and commenced work on the very next page, 38, a splash page of a kill scene. "The kill scene," for Fuzzyface. I put as much as I possibly could into this page. Having to stop to wrap my wrist up to help the swelling of my tendons.
I am so fucking psyched to have this page done. And I know this book is gonna kill at Phoenix Con.
I've made a new friend online, who assured me they will be stopping by my booth FIRST thing when they hit up Phx Con. We'll see if anything shiny keeps her from that goal.

Year: MMIX Purpose: Review
Inspired from a friend who wrote something similar, I am here by reviewing my year of 2009. The things that defined me as "The Strongest One There Is" yet again.
"YOU'RE FIRED!" It happens to the best of us from time to time, and it happened to me for the first time since before my senior year in high school. During my very short time at Intermountain, I was dealing with a lot of intensely personal stuff floating around in my head. I had just broken things off with someone I thought I would be with for the rest of my life. And I had just learned somethings I really didn't want to know from this person who felt they had to rub it in for good measure. The mind went on hiatus for a bit and I sort of conked out emotionally. It happens. And for someone who likes to pretend that nothing ever bothers him, it really stuck in my mind. It took getting fired for truancy to wake me up and make me realize it didn't truly matter.
Phoenix Cactus ComiCon 2009! For the second straight year I went to Phoenix Con. And unlike the first year I didn't really have a partner to help promote my work. I went with a friend, and found out how much of a tough time that can be. He wasn't really prepared and he didn't really do much in terms of work behind the counter. But it was a life lesson. Plus I got to be booth neighbors with Phour Nyne Guy, Erik Arreaga who decided he liked Agnew so much he was going to do a pinup for me.
Youth in Asia LIVES! After the breakup things got very tough for me to create. I became listless and I didn't care about doing anything new. I scrapped a project that I started at the tail end of the almost two year relationship. I decided to go back to the drawing board, LITERALLY, and begin work on Youth in Asia issue 5. It was mostly a wrestling theme, but it ended up having issue bookends of Agnew getting a dog and the debut of the Step Monsters in YiA. People have said they liked the debut of the local punk rock band. And people have shined that the story is improving and the artwork is getting better with each issue.
APE Con or DIE! In addition to making my second straight Phoenix Con, I also hit up San Francisco for APE Con again. Which almost didn't happen, cause I fucking procrastinate like a mother fucking sloth. With the major financial help of a friend and a lot of JuJu for good omens, I got a table at the convention and set out to do this one my myself. Financially APE was not very successful. But I learned somethings from a friend who showed up at the con from the other side of the Bay. Jimmie Robinson, who people may know from his comic, Bomb Queen, showed his support of Youth in Asia and APE Con as a whole. He told me that he never looks or even thinks of making his money back from the shows he attends. He goes to spread the word about his work. And he goes to see friends and have fun. Well, I think I did spread the word about the book. In addition to APE I sold 3 sets of YiA to Isotope The Comic Book Lounge in San Francisco. I aim to go back when Fuzzyface is done and sell them on that as well as perfect bound versions of the tpb for Youth in Asia.
BAY LIFE! I got to spend a week in San Francisco with my dad, his wife and my good friend Audrey. I went out every single day I was there. I got to see some cool nightlife. As well as Alcatraz. I had so much fun, and I sold copies of my book to a shop in SF that everyone should check out, Isotope The Comic Book Lounge which is owned and operated by the very eclectic and amazingly dressed James Sime. He runs a very cool shop, and is an enthusiast for cool suits, original comic art on toilet seats and small press comics. So much so that he has an award he gives out when APE comes around for "Best Mini Comic." As James proudly says, "we don't have eight different categories, we have one award. And it's the most dangerous award in the business." I met some new people in San Francisco and I would love to live their some day. It's beautiful. The city is awesome and the culture there is second to none. To the dislike of one friend I got my own Chun Li action figure while in Japan Town too. And I rode a bus while intoxicated with The Reverend Al Sharpton. He didn't know I was a break out comic book creator. And I had no idea he was also a pimp when he's not championing civil rights for people.

Since begining the layouts and edits on the fantastic original script in early October, I have completed some 34 pages, one pinup and the cover artwork for the graphic novel, as well as coming up with some nice ideas for dvd-like extras to throw in the mix. Progress has been manic and people who have had the pleasure of seeing the work in progress have said it is my best work to date. This is gonna be a little different. Starring Agnew as the title character who seeks to create life. It's a horroromedy, in the vein of the Muppets meet Leatherface with a twist of Frankenstein. It's set to drop at Phoenix Cactus ComiCon 2010 in May.
P!NK I got to see one of my favorite singers on tour this year. P!NK came to Phoenix on the Funhouse Tour and she absolutely rocked the house. The show, it wasn't a concert, it was a show, had everything. Giant inflatable evil clowns, burlesque, trapeze artists, and the most amazing vocalist of my time. I was temporarily dead from the experience, but I enjoyed it. And sang along with almost every song. Her voice and lyrics brought tears to my eyes more than once. The Ting Tings opened and they rocked too. Closing with, "That's Not My Name." P!NK opened with an amazing video of her setting fire to her house after channel surfing for nothing good. The concert was the first in over a year since I saw The Misfits on labor Day 2008. It was the best I have been to. And she rocked!
Loss... I learned just a week after I returned from APE Con that a girl I dated almost a decade ago had been killed by her boyfriend in 2008. I don't watch the news, and I didn't know that she was online so I could have helped her. I worried for years that this would be her fate. But her sister told me she used to say she was never going to see her 30th birthday. To have that kind of fatalism about your life is really tough to move past. A lot of what I have done since learning this news has been centered around it. And trying to help stop domestic violence. It was actually the day after the third annual Wonder Woman Day that I found out Lisa Marie Berrie had been killed more than year earlier. I will miss you my friend. And I promise, I won't stop. Ever! And I am going to bring Wonder Woman Day to Tucson. To help end the silence and destroy the violence. Till it's safe for everyone...
Personally.... I have been up and down throughout the year when it comes to my life. But that's how I roll. It's been that way for 31 years now. After coming to accept certain things about life and myself in particular I get hit with something else. And I'm getting sick of it to tell you the truth. I'm tired of the disappointments. I'm tired of what I see as others moving forward and me seeming to stand still. But then again, my car doesn't break down fully during the race. It just overheats from time to time. I made a promise to myself to work on my personal life. An I have. I made a promise to get better physically too. And to see my reflection in the mirror, I seem to be getting bigger and bigger. It makes me happier about who I am. Make the outside strong to help shield the inside. But in all, I don't change who I am. I never will. Cause for another year, another decade, and the rest of my life, I am, "THE STRONGEST ONE THERE IS!"

Fuzzyface production notes pt. 9 "release date and printing/binding"
Decisions were made today about when to release Fuzzyface, as well as the parody rights when involving copyrighted or trademarked characters such as the Muppets. I have done a little research on parody and its use in the market against copyrighted materials. It looks as though we should be ok.
The decision made today was to release Fuzzyface: The Agnew Chainsaw Massacre at Phoenix Cactus ComiCon 2010. We can get press for it, as well as buy ad space for the release in the Phoenix Con program. This will also allow for more time in the printing and bindery process. Henry Barajas, who is getting into creating comics and is into the local comic scene here in Tucson is set to write the intro for the graphic novel. He got to see the work in progress and says that it looks like my, "best work to date." I take this an incredibly good sign, since Venus and Mike Moran have both stated the same. I too have looked at my storytelling abilities and also the overall quality of the work. My line style is still the same, but as Henry pointed out, he would like to see more shading and detail. When he saw the work he relayed that this is what he was talking about. He thinks the story is hilarious and says he can't wait for it to be finished. Venus is super excited as this is her second piece of published work through Anti-Hero Brand Press. Her earlier work is the second issue of The Book of Grrry, which was titled G2. Although somewhat nervous about others reading her work, Venus expressed somewhat of a relief in having this accomplishment come to fruition. She sighted that since the story in G2 and this story Fuzzyface were not based upon her own characters, she had an easier time in letting them become known by the public. Venus is also excited at the possibility of sitting in on an hour here or there for signing at Phoenix ComiCon. At the Memorial Day Weekend comic con, Venus will be the proud mother of a two month old baby girl. So she is uncertain as to her availability. I told her not to worry, as if she is not able to make it, I will bombard her with plenty of opportunities to sign as many copies of the graphic novel as possible before Mike Moran and I trek up to Phoenix. But I want her to be able to be there, should the web tv show she works on be covering the event.
The book itself has reached page 27 of the pencils. I have actually, and finally reached the halfway point for the artwork. I have a list of artists wanting and in the process of creating pin-ups for Fuzzyface, and a new creator in Henry, revving up to write the intro. Henry says he is psyched and looking forward to it. And I told the gang that I would be announcing preorders soon, online so that people wanting a copy could guarantee a first print for a lower cost than the still to be decided upon retail price. Talks are in for a price tag of either 12 or 15 dollars for the graphic novel, but that will include all the extras, such as the script, the layout pages, pin-ups and a sceduled running commentary/conversation between Venus and myself. As well as other possible extras to be decided upon and announced.
Then there is the question of printing and bindery. I would like to have the novel perfect bound like is traditional in the comic book industry. It is also pretty standard with comic shops too. As James Sime, owner of Isotope Comic Book Lounge in San Francisco told me he was worried that a spiral bound trade or graphic novel could and potentially would damage existing stock on his shelves. And that he would be more than happy to take collected works so long as they were perfect bound. There is a good option here in Tucson, with a locally owned and operated bindery called, Tucson Complete Bindery. They work pretty fast, as long as you have planned enough time for yourself and they are willing to do small, medium or very large jobs. Their prices are also very reasonable, as well as I do like to work with local businesses. My preferred printer, although not local is top quality at what they do, as well as able to work on a tight deadline.
So things are shaping up nicely with the book. As this past week, I got almost three whole pages done in one 24 hour period. From Sunday night when I was at work doing n overnight, till when I almost collapsed at Safehouse Monday night, I had completed pages 24, 25 and two thirds of page 26 AS WELL AS a pin-up for a collected edition to be called "Get That Chicken" a webcomic by Denny Riccelli. I have to get the pin-up scanned and then emailed to him, as my large format scanner is still being a pain in my ass and not working. But a lot of work has gone into Fuzzyface. And it is a labor of love. I am happy with page rate and the physical results I am seeing with this project. And in addition to a few other people's opinions, I too feel like this is my best work to date.

Fuzzyface production notes pt. 7
So last Friday I finished (finally) the layouts for Fuzzyface. The book is set to be 53 pages long. I know fucking crazy not only is it an odd number, but it's also a prime number. And don't ask me how I remember that either. But it's going to be 53 pages, all in one graphic novel. And Saturday night I got back to work on the interior artwork for the book. I finished page 18 and then last night I got most of 19 done too. So I am technically 1/3 finished with the interiors. And this book is looking sweet. We're into the meat of the story. Nobody has died, yet. But we are coming close. And it's gonna get messy.
I am having a ball drawing this, and I am super glad I went back and finished the layouts, cause I make a lot more progress, and waste a lot less time when I am doing the finished artwork if I have already done some draftsmanship on the pages where editing and visuals are concerned. I know the readers are going to be very happy with this project. Both visually and story wise. Cause Venus did a fabulous job crafting this tale.
I plan for the book to be in print by the first quarter of 2010. I am looking for some of my artist friends to do some pinups for the book. I would also like to get a write up about it, which would mean I would have to do a prerelease for press and other pros, so I can use their quotes for promos.
Simon Bisley offered to do a pinup of Agnew for me. Maybe I can talk him into doing one so I can use it with the book. I'll get on that today.

Simon Bisley offered to do a pinup of Agnew for me. Maybe I can talk him into doing one so I can use it with the book. I'll get on that today.
So, progress and art are back on track. The book is still looking fabulous and I am still rolling along at a good pace. Fuzzyface means business.

Fuzzyface. a masterpiece of horromedy
So I have foregone working on the interior artwork for Fuzzyface; The Agnew Chainsaw Massacre for a bit. The reason being is that I had yet to plot the second half of the graphic novel. Venus of Necro wrote an amazing tale filled with a lot of laughs and a lot of stuffing flying, so in order to get this done properly I had to stop for a few days and finish the plots. Which for me is essentially doing rough layouts. I consider it plotting in my book, and it's my blog so I'll call it whatever the hell I want.
With the use so far, I had not had any splash pages in the story. But for the last few sit downs, I have figured a few good places for them. The one I did last night looks really good. It's been so hard to make stuffed animal-like characters alive and believable. I am so used to drawing people. However I have been encouraged with the work. And I am having a lot of fun working on this project. I can't wait until it is finished just so I can see it completed and see how much people enjoy it. My friend, Mike even said from the teaser piece of artwork I showed him at Tucson Comic-Con looked like this was going to be the best work I had done yet. It's just such a different story that I feel really free when working on it. I just blaze through pages when I work on them and it feels really organic how I interpret Venus' story.
I have not shown anyone other than Venus the artwork. Not even the page layouts. Cause I want this to be as big of a surprise for people , who are used to my style on Youth in Asia.
